Casa Giogo
Our History
Casa Giogo is a typical Tuscan farmhouse from the end of the 19th century immersed in the green countryside of the province of Arezzo.
This is what the house looked like after the war. On the ground floor there were the stables with the animals, while the external staircase led to the house located on the first floor of the structure.
The renovation, carried out in the 80s with particular attention to the territory and the fundamental parts of the house, maintained the general characteristics of the structure, leaving the aesthetics unchanged and maintaining the unmistakable style of the Tuscan farmhouses of the time.
The stones with which the house was built are called “pebbles” due to their typical rounded appearance. They come from the Arno river which flows a few hundred meters away and are unique because they are smoothed by the quiet flow of its millenary waters.
Next to the pebbles, the hand-worked pietra serena stands out,with which doors and windows were squared and the external staircase, which leads to the apartments, was built, all in the typical Tuscan style.
The quiet, silence and relaxation of the farmhouse’s strategic position immersed in nature and its historicity have always been prominent elements of a structure that over time has been able to restructure itself while keeping its origins intact.
Casa Giogo today
Today Casa Giogo looks like a typical Tuscan farmhouse completely immersed in the greenery of the Tuscan countryside.
On the ground floor live the owners Massimiliano and Ilaria with their family, available for every need and ready to let you live an unforgettable experience in the lands of Arezzo. On the next floor are the two apartments: “Il Giogo” and “Caminetto”, accessible from the splendid foreign staircase in typical Tuscan style.
Outside, the 5,000 m2 of greenery surrounding the house are ready to welcome you to relax in the shade of the centuries-old trees, enjoy the splendid fenced-in swimming pool overlooking the countryside, have fun with the children and the family in the play area and enjoy outdoor dining with our stone barbecue.
